willpower is myself, and this is my film.
i did the music, and i’m the one rhyming in it.
i did the song about the 3 parts of the film: beat fear, courage, and willpower.
as an artist surviving in a world where the powers want me to be a slave, i have to beat fear, have courage and the willpower to follow what is in my heart. which is basically to express myself artistically with the intent to share my life experience while giving my perspective on what i choose to talk about. it can be visual, musical… i’m getting to a place where i’m combining the visuals and the music. it’s been a long time coming. it’s been since i was like 6 years old living in new york city that it became clear to me that hip hop was who i was. it was probably before that, but i was not conscious of it until i was living hip hop in new york around 1982, 1983. yeah, right at the heart of a beautiful start. i am so happy to be of what i consider an absolutely beyond amazing hip hop generation. to keep it short, this piece is another step in my evolution as a living being. it is made for you. yes, for you. if you feel down, watch and listen to it. if you feel like everybody is against you, bump it loud! if you are going through hell, watch it relentlessly. nothing can stop us but ourselves. so let’s be the amazing people that we are and do what we love everyday of our lives instead of slaving for the few that enslave the planet.

willpower, c’est moi, et ça c’est mon film.
j’ai fais la musique, et je rhyme dessus.
la chanson est basée sur les 3 parties de la chanson: beat fear (battre la peur / crainte), le courage, et le willpower (la volonté intérieur).
en tant qu’artiste qui survie dans un monde où les pouvoir veulent que je sois un esclave, je ne peux pas avoir de peur dans mon cœur, je dois avoir du courage, et de la volonté intérieur pour continuer à voler… suivre mon cœur. c’est à dire, m’exprimer artistiquement avec pour but de partager mon expérience de vie en donnant ma perspective sur un sujet que je choisi d’aborder. ça peut-être visuel, musicale… je mélange désormais le visuel avec la musique. ça fait longtemps que j’ai cette vision, et elle murît. c’est depuis 6 ans, quand j’habitais à manhattan, que je savais que j’étais le hip hop. je pense que je l’ai toujours été mais c’est à 6 ans que j’en suis devenu conscient. c’était en 1982, 1983. ouais, dans le cœur de new york pendant la naissance de ma culture. je suis tellement heureux de faire parti de la période en or de ma culture.
ce projet est un nouveau pas dans mon évolution en tant qu’être vivant. ce projet est pour toi.
si tu ne comprends pas l’anglais, sache que la chanson dit qu’il faut continuer à croire en soi. continue à écouter ta voix intérieure. là se trouve la vérité. rien ne peut t’arrêter sauf toi-même. soyons les personnes incroyables que nous sommes! faisons se qu’on aime tous les jours au lieu d’être des esclaves pour des gens sans cœur.
